Sprint pulling its $15 Unlimited mega deal after just one week citing high demand

Sprint will close the deal tomorrow night, meaning you still have some hours to take advantage of it.

Sprint is ending its $15 Unlimited offer this week following high demand. The online promotion, which is exclusive to customers porting their lines from other carriers, will be closed at 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, June 15.

The news arrives via USA Today, which said Sprint had also added a countdown clock to its website running until the end of the offer. Unfortunately, the website is currently down due to maintenance but it’s likely to be up and running come morning on the East Coast. You can call Sprint on 866-275-1411 if you have questions.

Sprint launched the deal on June 8, offering unlimited talk, text, and data for $15 per month. As mentioned, users must switch from a different carrier in order to get the deal — upgrades and new lines don’t qualify.

Sprint made a bold attempt to swipe customers from other networks, and an attractive one: $60 per month for four lines undercuts the same offer on the three major competitors — AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile (who Sprint is in the process of merging with) — by $100.

It seems to have paid off, though it’s not without its caveats: the plan throttles video streaming down to 480p, doesn’t support hotspots, and Sprint says it will slow speeds during network congestion.
