You're about to give a big presentation. Instead of prepping note cards or print outs with your speaking notes, you can use Keynote's feature presenter notes to keep those cues in view nearby. In this tutorial, learn how to add presenter notes in Keynote.

How to Add Presenter Notes in Keynote Quickly

Watch this short tutorial screencast or follow the quick tutorial steps that accompany this video.

1. Change to Presenter Note View & Add a Note

Let's add a presenter note by going to the View menu and choosing the Show Presenter Notes option.

Add a presenter by selecting View > Show Presenter Notes.

This opens up the Presenter Notes panel as shown below.

Type your note into the Presenter Notes panel at the bottom of the slide.

Then just type out the note that you want to add to this slide. You can add notes on a slide by slide basis. So, make sure to add them to each and every Keynote slide that you want reminders for. 

2. Add More Presenter Notes

If you advance to another slide, you can simply add more presenter notes and add them to the additional slide. 

Once the Presenter Notes panel is open, simply select a different slide to add presenter notes to it. 

Personally, I like to use these to add speaking cues and important details about emphasis in my presentation.

3. Print Slide Notes

To print the slide notes with your presentation, go ahead and open up the print menu with Command + P

Use the Print menu to print a copy of your presentation.

Choose your handouts. Make sure to turn on the presenter notes so that they'll print with your presentation. Keep the notes nearby to make sure that you stay on cue.You can also see these speaker notes on your own screen when you go into Presenter View, so that no printed copies are required at all.
