Tim Cook will give the commencement address for Duke University’s graduating class this Sunday, May 13. Cook graduated from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business with an MBA in 1988.

“I’m honored to be returning to Duke this weekend to help celebrate the Class of 2018,” Cook told Duke University’s Chronicle newspaper this week. “I graduated from Fuqua 30 years ago, and the friends and memories I made at Duke are among the most treasured of my life.”

Cook is a member of Duke University’s Board of Trustees. Earlier this year, when news of Cook’s commencement address was first made, Duke University President Vincent E. Price said that: “Throughout his career, Tim has embodied Duke’s values of innovation and service to society, whether through his contributions to Apple’s groundbreaking technology or his advocacy for social justice. I can imagine no better person, and no bigger Duke fan, to inspire the Class of 2018.”

This isn’t the first time that Cook has given a commencement address. He has previously given inspirational and surprisingly amusing addresses at MIT, Auburn University (which he attended before Duke), and George Washington University.

Cook will be joined in his address by student speaker Deeksha Malhotra. In total, he will address more than 5,500 Duke graduates. Are you lucky enough to be among them? Let us know in the comments below.
