Oracle Cloud service provider Certus Solutions bagged by Accenture

UK-based Oracle Cloud service provider Certus Solutions has been snared by Accenture. The companies are known to each other having worked together on projects including one of the largest Oracle Cloud implementations for a UK Government department.

Last year the pair were selected by the Home Office to deliver a new enterprise resource planning system . The two-year contract, valued at around £20m, was awarded through the UK government's G-Cloud (G8) supplier framework. 

Bhaskar Ghosh, group chief executive, Accenture Technology Services, said: "With the addition of Certus Solutions we're expanding our Oracle Cloud services and capabilities."

Zahra Bahrololoumi, head of Accenture Technology for UK & Ireland, added: "This acquisition brings a team with Oracle Cloud expertise. By joining together we can add scale and expand Certus Solutions into more areas of the Oracle ecosystem."

Accenture says it already has 54,000 Oracle-skilled consultants around the world. Certus Solutions is a global Oracle Platinum implementation partner for Oracle Cloud applications. The value of the acquisition has not been disclosed.
