Pond5 Introduces New App for Apple Final Cut Pro X, Bringing Access to the Full Pond5 Content Collection into Every Video Editors’ Timeline
Free desktop application includes bulk file downloads, advanced search functionality, and the ability to work with video and audio previews while saving all your edits
New York City, NY – April 9, 2018 – Pond5, the world’s leading content marketplace for high-quality royalty-free video and other media, today announced a new integration for Apple Final Cut Pro X that gives editors the ability to save time by working with previews of Pond5 footage, music, and sound effects directly in their Final Cut timelines.
The announcement was made from the show floor at the 2018 NAB Show in Las Vegas, NV, where the Pond5 and Final Cut Pro teams are both demoing the app for attendees. The app will also be featured at the Final Cut Pro X: Post Without Limits event tonight at the Las Vegas Convention Center, hosted by FCPWORKS, FMC, Lumaforge, and Ripple Training, alongside presentations from Apple, DJI, Jaunt VR, and others.
Developed in close collaboration with Apple, and available for free download, the new Pond5 App for Final Cut Pro X lets users search for creative content through a streamlined interface with numerous robust search filters, then import previews of selected media files into their timelines with a single click. Editors can then try different video and audio file choices in their projects, apply filters and transitions, and save their work as they go.
Once final files have been chosen, users can simply drag completed sequences onto the Pond5 App to begin the checkout process. When the purchase is completed, all low-res previews will be instantly replaced with hi-res versions, with all of the edits and effects added in the FCPX timeline remaining intact. The app also includes the ability to bulk download previews and hi-res files — a huge time-saver that has been one of the most frequently requested features from Pond5 customers.
