Apple is about to resurrect one of their most iconic, and sought after, symbols in their company history -- the famed rainbow logo.

According to documents filed by Apple, and obtained by The Blast, the retro logo will be slapped on a clothing line for "hats and caps" the tech corporation plans on producing.

The logo was created in 1977 and used until August 26, 1999. Steve Jobs had the rainbow scheme added to show off the fancy colors the Apple II computer could produce.

Vintage merchandise featuring the logo is hard to come by, with even t-shirts emblazoned with the the rainbow apple sell for hundreds of dollars.

However, now that Apple is bringing it back ... well you can still expect to shell out a ton of money for but at least it will be brand new!

It's unclear when the new merch will be announced, but don't be surprised if Tim Cook walks out to the next Apple Keynote sporting a fresh new lid.

We are so excited about the logo we've mocked up some designs of our own! If Apple is interested in "acquiring them" just give us a call!
