Last week, we went over the five reasons the iPhone X was already playing catch-up to the Samsung Galaxy range.

To make things a bit fairer, we've decided to throw out five points that make the iPhone X king of the smartphone world. Contradictory? Probably.

But it's important to give each phone its chance to shine. So without further delay, here are five reasons the iPhone X leaves the Samsung Galaxy behind:

1. The processor

You know how Apple is bragging in its adverts about having the fastest chip ever in a smartphone? Turns out it's no exaggeration. The iPhone X speeds absolutely scream past Samsung to the point of embarrassment.

According to Geekbench, which tests single-core and multi-core speeds of smartphones, the A11 Bionic chip was an absolute powerhouse.

The single-core score maxed out at 4,258, while the Galaxy Note 8 peaked at 2,022. That's twice as fast for those playing at home. The Galaxy S8 finished roughly the same as the Note at 2,016.

Not happy with that? The multi-core score of the iPhone X reached 10,413 while the Galaxy Note 8 could not even crack 7,000 (6,744).

2. The camera

Don't take our word for it, the iPhone X has a superior camera to both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy Note 8. According to DxOMark, the iPhone X had the second best camera on the smartphone market. It registered a combined score of 97 for stills and videos.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 performed well, reaching 94, but still lagged behind the iPhone X. The Note 8 finished on par with the iPhone 8 Plus.

*The top phone was the Google Pixel 2 at 98, but this fight is just between Samsung and Apple.

3. The Apple Watch

How should you consider the Apple Watch? Is it a standalone device or an expensive accessory? Earlier this week, we made the case that it should be the former. But until that happens, it's tethered to an iPhone, at least for setup.

And that's a big benefit for the iPhone X. Sure you can buy Samsung Gear, but is anyone really interested? Despite being divisive on design appeal, the Apple Watch still represents the best smart watch you can buy. Apple Pay, Apple Music, fitness tracker, communications - all of this now with cellular.

Wanting an Apple Watch is reason enough to pick the iPhone X.

4. The ecosystem

Apple does the technological ecosystem better than anyone, no doubt about it. It's just so easy to have your music, photos, downloads, and applications all managed by the same company. You can achieve similar on some Android phones, but do you really want to?

It is hardly appealing to pull out a Samsung phone to visit Google's app store so that you can download a third-party music streaming service. Get wise and just put everything together.

*Google does the ecosystem well, but again, this comparison doesn't factor in the Pixel phones.

5. Apple Stores

People often forget just how important Apple Stores are in the company's grand plans. How many things that you buy (short of a car) have a dedicated place to get them fixed? We're not talking about taking a broken Chromebook to PC World, we're talking direct to the supplier.

Genius bars are fantastic, there's something comforting about getting your product fixed by the same people who sold it to you. Not just that, Apple Stores now offer free classes if you want to learn how to use the phone better.

Apple Stores are still what definitively sets the company apart from competitors. Sure, Samsung is starting to roll some out now, but it's got a lot of catching up to do.
