Surface Pro LTE delayed to 2018 according to Microsoft Store listing

Last month, we reported that the Surface Pro LTE device will be available for order from December 1st. Microsoft hardware chief Panos Panay will be delivering a keynote at the Future Decoded conference in London later this month, it was widely expected that Microsoft will officially launch the Surface Pro LTE device at this event. But according to updated Microsoft Store listing, Surface Pro LTE model is delayed to Spring 2018.

The new Surface Pro with LTE will be made avaiable for purchase at retail Spring 2018.

We are not sure whether this information is accurate. We have asked Microsoft for confirmation, will update our post accordingly.

Surface Pro LTE will be available in two different models, one with Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and the other one with Intel Core i5, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD. During a session at Ignite conference, Surface engineering team revealed more details about this upcoming LTE version of Surface Pro. The LTE version of Surface Pro will be based on Qualcomm X16 Gigabit Class LTE modem supporting up to 450 mbps and will offer almost same battery life as the current WiFi model.

Update: According to Microsoft, Surface Pro LTE is still on track to be launched before end of this year.
