Microsoft launched a Chrome extension that allows single corporate sign-in on Windows 10

With the release of Windows 10, Microsoft introduced a feature that allowed the user of a computer to sign in once and have those credentials apply across the entire system, including its re-imagined browser named Edge. However, since the majority of Windows users, both in the enterprise and the consumer space, use Google Chrome, it introduced a disconnect in the single sign-in vision.

To remedy this, Microsoft launched a new Chrome extension which allows Enterprise users of its Windows 10 operating system to use a single sign-in through Active-Directory, for all supported services on the browser from Google. For example, a user signing into the computer with their corporate AD identity will automatically be signed in when opening specific services on Chrome, as explained by the extension's download page:

Use this extension to sign in to supported websites with accounts on Windows 10. If you have a Microsoft supported identity on Windows 10, you won’t be required to enter your credentials to sign in to supported websites. You’ll need to use this extension if your organization has implemented conditional access policy. Currently, this extension supports Azure Active Directory identities.

Current applications and services supported by the extension include the aforementioned Azure Active Directory, OneDrive for Business, Office 365, Exchange Online, and some non-Microsoft services. IT administrators can also manage this with device-based policies if required by security protocols in the Enterprise. The extension, however, requires the user to have the latest Windows 10 Creators Update installed and does not support consumer Microsoft accounts at this moment.
