Google’s official Calendar app for iOS finally offers a Today screen widget.
The feature, which gives you a quick overview of your day’s events, was introduced with the latest version of the app.
Google is pretty good at supporting new features on iOS soon after Apple adds them. Many of its most popular apps are compatible with things like 3D Touch, and the multitasking features on iPad. But it has taken three years for it to deliver a widget for the Calendar app.
Now it has finally arrived, you can add it to your Today screen by tapping the Edit button at the bottom, then selecting Google Calendar. The widget offers a brief overview of upcoming events, so you don’t need to open the Calendar app to see what’s next on your schedule.
You’ll need to install the latest update, version 2.4.0, before trying to add the Calendar widget. You can download it from the App Store now.
