It seemed like there is no stopping for AMD Ryzen. Asus ROG implicitly confirmed that Ryzen would soon be powering their gaming laptops.

The release of the next-gen AMD CPU has been a great success in the desktop department of the company. With momentum still on their side, the Sunnyvale-based company will now try its luck in the laptop department in partnership with Asus ROG brand.

In recent updates, the upcoming Computex 2017 event in Taiwan may not only showcase the AMD Threadripper CPU lineup. The said tech event could also serve as a venue for the introduction of gaming laptops powered none other by AMD Ryzen.

It has long been rumored that AMD will soon venture out to the gaming department. However, quite a few only anticipated that gaming laptops would be the next target of the company, especially after some feedbacks have been received concerning the gaming support of their Ryzen desktop CPUs as compared to Intel's gaming performance.

Despite some negative reviews on its gaming performance, the Ryzen CPU will inevitably power Asus' gaming brand. Something new from AMD will soon arrive in the Republic of Gamers, and it might come sooner than expected.

In a video clip released by Asus ROG, it suggested that "something big is coming." The said presentation also clearly displayed an Asus gaming laptop along with a Ryzen logo on the background, making it as an implicit confirmation of what is to come.

Meanwhile, the idea of an Asus gaming laptop being powered by an AMD Ryzen processor somehow confirms previous rumors concerning Ryzen's crossover to gaming laptop department. In retrospect, it has also been projected that if Ryzen were successful, there would be a great chance that Dell's Alienware and Falcon Northwest could also follow the trend and appease the demands.

However, there is still no confirmation or even a hint that Alienware may soon follow the move of Asus. Nevertheless, with the very obvious campaign video, an Asus gaming laptop powered by AMD Ryzen will surely be underway.
