Silicon Valley may have a difficult time drawing the attention of President-elect Donald Trump.

After months of shutting out Trump, the valley finds itself closed off from his Strategic and Policy Forum, featuring business executives who will advise him as he pulls together his jobs plan.

"This forum brings together CEOs and business leaders who know what it takes to create jobs and drive economic growth," Trump said in a statement.

Of the 16 business leaders named, none come from a Silicon Valley company. Only one, IBM CEO Ginni Rometty, represents the tech sector.

After the election, Rometty congratulated Trump in a public letter posted to IBM's website, offering ideas for how to create jobs, including paving the way for "new collar" employees and using data to to improve efficiency.

"In the years ahead there will be issues on which we agree, and issues on which we do not," wrote Rometty. "But as you prepare to take office as our new president, I hope the ideas I have offered in this letter represent ways that we can work together to achieve prosperity that is broadly shared in our society."

With Trump weeks away from becoming president, Silicon Valley is working to have its voice heard. Its most notable connection is venture capitalist Peter Thiel, who has served as an adviser to the Trump team.

The Consumer Technology Association, which represents tech giants including Amazon and Apple, congratulated Trump shortly after his election win and expressed optimism for the future.

"Technology and innovation are major drivers of the U.S. economy and provide hope for the future by creating jobs, leading our nation's competitiveness and providing solutions to global challenges," CTA CEO Gary Shapiro said the morning after Trump's Nov. 8 win.
