PSA: Flagship MacBook Pros & iPhones could miss Christmas shipping, but there are still ways to order online in time

According to their online store, some of Apple’s newest products including the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and certain models of the iPhone 7 Plus may not arrive — or will cut it close to arriving — in time for Christmas…

As you can see in the photo above, the shipping estimate of the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar leans more towards arriving after Christmas, and the same timeframe currently applies to the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. The iPhone 7 Plus in the popular Jet Black color is estimated to arrive just under the wire. There may be a better option, however, if you’re shopping online for Apple products for the holidays.

Interestingly, as of this writing B&H is showing ‘in-stock’ for the new 15-inch MacBook Pro in Silver and Space Gray in the 256GB and 512GB models. They also are showing stock of the new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar in Silver for the 256GB model and some in Space Gray in the 512GB model. B&H is estimating orders placed today will ship as soon as December 5 and expedited shipping is also an option. A somewhat random bonus when ordering through B&H is a free copy of Parallels Desktop 12 for Mac which may appeal to switchers or users who rely on Windows.

One more option would be checking the product availability for in-store pick-up at your nearest Apple Store. You may be in luck if you live in a metropolitan area and don’t mind making the trip. However you end up purchasing your Apple devices this holiday season, it would be best to do so as soon as possible or risk missing any deadlines. As we previously reported, Apple’s iPhone and MacBook products are again at the top of the most wanted gifts this year.
