    iPads, MacBooks drive record $4 billion online sales on Black Friday, Adobe says

    US consumers spent a record $US3.3 billion ($4.43 billion) online on Black Friday, scooping up everything from Lego sets to Apple iPads, according to Adobe Systems.

    Two-day sales starting on Thanksgiving totalled $US5.3 billion, marking an 18 per cent increase from a year earlier, Adobe said on Saturday in a statement. Spending via mobile devices on Friday increased 33 per cent to a record high of $US1.2 billion.
