Microsoft cuts $200 off all Surface Book Core i7 models without its new Performance Base

'Tis the season for savings, and many companies have already announced their plans to offer big discounts on some of their products in the annual Black Friday shopping extravaganza. Among them is Microsoft, which has promised to sell its Xbox One S from $249, along with savings of up to $430 on some of its Surface devices.

But if you just can't wait for the Black Friday sales to arrive, you might be interested in discounts currently available on the Surface Book.

The Microsoft Store has cut $200 off all models with an Intel Core i7 processor, excluding its latest variants that feature the new Performance Base:

  • 256GB SSD / 8GB RAM / dGPU | normally $2,099 | now $1,899
  • 512GB SSD / 16GB RAM / dGPU | normally $2,699 | now $2,499
  • 1TB SSD / 16GB RAM / dGPU | normally $3,199 | now $2,999

The $200 discount on these models will remain available until November 19. If your budget is a bit tighter, or if a Core i7 processor is overkill for your needs, you might want to wait for Microsoft's Black Friday sale, when you'll be able to pick up a Surface Book with Core i5 for as little as $1,249.
