Just now, AMD has rolled out its new 16.10.2 hotfix version of the Radeon Crimson Edition driver, which should provide a better gaming experience for Battlefield 1, Sid Meier's Civilization VI, Titanfall 2, Serious Sam VR Early Access, and Eagle Flight VR titles.

In addition to that, this release includes a new Sid Meier's Civilization VI CrossFire profile for DirectX 11, removes the bug that caused Fan Speed to remain elevated on some Radeon RX 400 cards, and makes sure Eyefinity group settings are maintained after a driver upgrade.

Moreover, Gears of War 4 won’t hang when on high resolution and quality configurations, DirectX 12 content will now launch even on older CPUs that don’t support popcnt instruction, and Battlefield 1 CrossFire profile won’t update every time the game is launched.

When it comes to compatibility, the available files are suitable for both desktop and notebook configurations running under one of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems, either 32- or 64-bit architectures.

Therefore, to enjoy the benefits of this release, save the appropriate package for your computer, run it and wait for all files required to be extracted, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete update.
