"Apple v Samsung Foreman Gets More Things Wrong: This is in the believe it or not category, but the foreman in the Apple v Samsung trial is *still* talking about the verdict and why the jurors did what they did. And the more he talks, the worse it gets for that verdict." Groklaw 8:29 AM
"Why Apple Is Checking Out Wal-Mart: Imagine having to pay $12 million per second. This is what Wal-Mart Stores, the world's largest retailer, pays on a daily basis at its U.S. stores on cashier expenses. But now it's looking for ways to trim down on those expenses while improving arguably one of its chief weaknesses - the checkout process. To that end, it has called upon Apple to help revolutionize the way its customers shop and pay." TheStreet 8:40 AM

"Suddenly, today, my Mac Pro running 10.8.1 no longer allows me to move items to the trash. When I attempt it, I get a 'Finder wants to make changes' dialog box asking for a password. Entering the password deletes the file completely; it's not in the trash. If I log into my 'safe' account, the Finder deletes files as expected, so I've installed something in my main account that's acting up. Any ideas what it might be?" MacInTouch 10:16 AM
"Mountain Lion 10.8.1, on 3 machines' Mail will start the password request loop after 'x' amount of time. If I restart the computer, all is well again, for awhile. Examining Keychain Access, there are no Mail documents to 'correct' or examine. This is when I'm in the password loop. Mail will not save any preference changes I make. After a restart, when Mail is happy, Keychain Access shows all the proper Mail documents under 'Login'. If I do a 'First Aid' in KeyChain Access, all the Mail documents go away and if Mail was working properly, no password looping, it no longer is. If Mail was not working properly (password looping), the looping doesn't get fixed. I'm not sure if I'm looking for a sick Keychain Access and Mail or just a sick Mail." MacInTouch 10:16 AM
