"To the user whose mother suffers from iTunes starting up 'erratically': I also had the problem. I have an original Apple TV attached to the TV set near my MacBook Pro. The Apple Remote Controller that I use with it somehow also became paired with the MBP, so that when I would play music on the Apple TV, my iTunes on the computer would also start up and begin playing different tunes. Putting the Apple TV to sleep would not quit iTunes, so it would continue to play until I went to the computer to stop it. After finally figuring it out, I unpaired the controller from the computer so that now it remains safely quiet." MacInTouch 11:26 AM

"I noted that over the last two or three years the Mac interface has becoming more un-Mac like. It is nice to have multiple ways of invoking the same command. However, it is terrible to have to invoke one command from the menu only, and a very similar command only from a button or from the the inspector palette. If the commands are similar they should be both be on buttons or on the menu or in the inspector palette." MacInTouch 11:25 AM
